Freedom

...is to live without anxiety about imperfection.

When was the last time you were quietly at ease in your own skin...?

...or accepted a compliment with grace and gratitude?

It is the nature of the human condition to get caught up in wants and fears and act unconsciously- we all do it.

When you can relax about your imperfections, you relieve your heart of the burden of imagined judgment and the push to conform yourself to ideals that are not your own.

When you awaken to the perfection of your Inner Being, the presence of silent knowing that resides in the center of your Self, you begin to restore yourself to the fulfillment of your greatest desires: to love, to feel connected, to feel yourself at one with all there is...and to be at ease in your own skin.

Freedom. Radical acceptance. Limitless possibility.

This is the age of awakening.

And it all starts within.

Chinese Medicine 101 and Forgiveness

The strokes at the bottom of this character symbolizes the heart. So much of a restless heart arises from unresolved resentments and perceived any actual wrongs we have experienced in our lives.

Forgiveness begins with an opening of the heart and resolves with a settling of the spirit. We often find that we must first forgive ourselves for being less than the perfect person we believe we must be.

All natural medicine traditions hold forth that when we have the courage to enter into the depth of our shadow side - the parts of our lives and minds we are afraid or ashamed to share with others - we liberate ourselves to the fullness of our experience.

We clear away that which blocks us from living with ease and joy.

So forgive yourself for not having the perfect house, car, child, spouse, or body.

This is life. We are all just living in it. Living. Breathing. Creating.

Be in Life. Be in Joy.

Love something different about yourself every day and be wildly bold about enjoying it!

Just be happy!

Nutrition Tip of the Week - Eat Whatever Makes You Feel Good!

We truly are what we eat. So, eat what makes you happy. Eat what makes you feel good. Is it really a half-pint of ice cream? Do you feel good after eating a huge meal? Some days the answer to that question is yes. And when it is, eat up!

Ancient Chinese scholars Zhang Zhong Jing theorized that disturbance of the emotions, starting with digestion.

Your body lets you know how it feels about the things you give it, so, listen well. If you're eating your feelings, then maybe you need a massage instead of more cheese.

Feel into what your body and spirit are asking of you... then choose what's good for both of you.

Be a friend to your body. It's your faithful servant - for life - and it deserves your care and attention.
